This morning was not one of our more stellar moments. Instead of going to church, we skipped because we had a house full of kiddos sleeping in. Steve and I both feel better when we start our week in the house of the Lord. However, time is fleeting with our children and we are trying to make the most of it. Since I've been under the weather, today ended up being a good day because I had lots of energy. I declared that we needed to have a family picnic. Of course, my children had other plans, so Steve and I had an impromptu date. We took a brief trip to Klyde Warren Park in downtown Dallas.
Who wouldn't love this view?
This is one of the many food trucks that we have vowed to try.
Steve won't be happy that I'm posting this picture but I think he's such a cutie.
By no means do I think this is a good picture, but I need to document the fact that I actually exist.
Fabulous little reading area with books and magazines provided by the park. I took the time to read an article in D Magazine about Kidd Kraddick, but it made me so sad.
Next go round, we are bring the kids and we are going to sit at the park and rent checkers from the game cart.
Of course, Mocha will have to be part of the action. She may be intimidated by some of the larger dogs at the park. Look at the Great Dane above and down below.
Once spring arrives, I think this may be a perfect place for a photo shoot. Enjoy your week!
